Rest day, sorta.

Had to have my wife at the airport by 7am this morning and she will be gone until late Monday. That leaves me with my 2 year old daughter all weekend. If the next 3 days are going to be anything like today it looks like I'll have 4 days of cardio. That girl just keeps on going, and going, and......

I may try to get in some lifting on Sunday and Monday, but it may be sketchy.

On a side note, CVS had vitamins on sale buy one get one free. I now have a years worth of vitamin C. They had the 1000mg ones and some of the bottles were 100 capsules free bottles, bonus!

Hey man,

Pretty cool. Nice on the squats. I just can't get that heavy. I'll never go over 250 b/c it pushes my vertebrae in my neck out of alignment. Luckily, my therapist wifey hooks me up when I do stupid stuff like that. Instead, I do light squats for speed on the positive of the movement. Next, you say, "My hams suck." ROMANIAN DEAD LIFTS will fix them up right. I've been doing them for 8 years and they're the only reason I clear 10 in the WOB.

You didn't ask for my opinion, but if any of it helps great. If not don't eat me. Good Luck

hey buddy, I never turn away advice! I need all of the help I can get. Thanks.

On a side note, I am a little hungry :-P

Hungry?

Tuna mixed with tons of celery, pickles, salsa or hot sauce,& mustard (almost 0 calories in all this stuff). Then, a little mayo and pepper. Very tasty and no excess evil calories. It's my personal favorite.

You doing the cleans too? I can't get enough of them since I started. They truly are a whole body workout.

I know the tuna gig. I usually mix it with some long grain rice and hot sauce. It's a staple.

I'm having some issues with Gold's. They have given me crap twice doing cleans. Seems they don't like the sound of weights clanking or something. They don't like any Olympic type moves either. Seems they are moving more to a cardio kickboxing/spinning/treadmill farm. It's a shame, they have the iron in there and 90% of the time I have it all to myself.

What I wouldn't do for a garage with a concrete floor :-(

Birch loaned me his rolling thunder and load pin, let's see how they feel about me dragging my own equipment in.

Hey, let me know the next time York has one of those big sales.

I used to belong to Golds up here. The one I went to was extremely ragged (broken glass, torn rubber on the dumbells, rough lookin floor.) I only did it for one winter so I could get out of the garage. This winter I've been able to go heavy which is great. If you ever want to come up to York for a workout session / trip to the factory store let me know. I'll keep my eye out for the sales. Now that I think of it I should check them out again.

Hey, I could totally do that! Lets set it up for one weekend. I'd love to go check out the York plant. Maybe they have an outlet like the Hostess bread place ;-P

They have a nice factory store and decent little museum (for those interested in some history) that focuses on strength athletes/body guilders/olympic lifting teams, as well as steroids in the U.S. It's been a few years since I walked through that part though. The factory itself may be off limits. The only things they make there are the high end equipment pieces/machines. Everything else....you guessed it...China. Let me call to see if they're having a sale anytime soon.
